Ken Brown has lived near Tulsa since 1993 and is from a farm & ranch family in Pioneer, Texas.
Drawing from observation, he uses learned and self-taught skills to create art.
Although Ken is half-blind he doesn't let it slow him down.
After being mentored early in his art career Ken acquired a passion for teaching.
He has taught classes for the Philbrook Museum of Art, the Arts & Humanities Council of Tulsa, and other Oklahoma venues.
Currently doing private tutoring and workshops he was recently selected as one of the Top 11 Painting and Drawing Teachers in Tulsa (2017-2018).
Ken is the Arts Program Director at the Coffee Bunker (a veteran's resource center) and mentors students in the Operation Aware art program.
As a Board member of Alpha Rho Tau Civic Art Association and the Stillwater Art Guild he promotes other artists.
Ken Brown is engaged in the Arts community and encourages others to come paint outdoors with his Facebook group: Urban Sketchers Tulsa.
